The way our bodies position themselves during sleep is not random. Various studies on body language suggest that our preferred sleeping position can reflect deep-seated personality traits, how we approach life, and even how we relate to others. While it’s not an exact  science , many people identify with the descriptions associated with each position.

1. Face down: the free fall position

People who sleep face down, with their arms extended around the  pillow , tend to be  open, bold, and energetic . They like to be in control of situations and don’t tolerate surprises or unexpected events very well.

Although they may project an image of toughness or confidence on the outside, deep down they are sensitive to criticism and are affected by what others think of them. This is a trait associated with spontaneous and somewhat impulsive personalities.

2. Complete fetal position

Sleeping curled up, with knees drawn up to the chest, is one of the most protective sleeping positions. It reflects a need for  security and emotional comfort .

People who choose this position may seem tough or difficult to deal with at first, but they actually have a kind and sensitive heart. They find it hard to open up and trust new people, but when they do, they become extremely loyal and committed friends.
